A Unique Student Identifier (USI) is your individual education number. It gives you an online account that links to a record of the nationally recognised training you complete in Australia.

Every student undertaking nationally recognised training in Australia requires a Unique Student Identifier (USI). Your USI creates a secure, lifelong record of the training you complete — including the courses you study with ACTA College.

Required for nationally recognised training
If you are studying nationally recognised training in Australia, you must have a USI. Without a valid USI, ACTA College cannot issue your certificate or statement of attainment.
Your training records in one place
Your USI account gives you access to your training records and results, including qualifications, certificates and statements of attainment issued by any Australian training organisation.
Yours for life
Once created, your USI stays with you for life. It is recorded with any nationally recognised training you complete from the time it is created, no matter where or when you study.
Students arriving from overseas
Students entering Australia from overseas to study nationally recognised training also require a USI. You can create one once you arrive in Australia using an Australian form of identification, such as a passport with an Australian visa.
Create your USI online
You can create your USI yourself, free of charge, on the official Australian Government website. You will need one form of accepted identification, such as a driver licence, Medicare card or passport.
