Course Overview

Nationally recognised First Aid and CPR training.

First Aid training develops the practical knowledge and skills to recognise, assess and respond to common First Aid situations — providing appropriate initial care while professional help is on the way.

Choose the unit that suits your role: general First Aid, CPR, or First Aid in an education and care setting. Training is practical and scenario-based, and is delivered face-to-face at our Sydney and Canberra campuses.

First Aid Training

HLTAID011

Provide First Aid

Practical First Aid training covering common emergencies and CPR.

Training: 3 hrs online + approx. 1 hr face-to-face assessment

Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Practical CPR training covering cardiac emergencies and use of an AED.

Training: 30 mins online + approx. 20 mins face-to-face assessment

Entry Requirements

No prior First Aid experience required. Photo ID and a USI are needed on the day.

Photo Identification

Bring valid government-issued photo identification to verify your identity at the start of training.

Unique Student Identifier (USI)

All nationally recognised training in Australia requires a USI. Our team can help you create one before your session.

What to Bring

Photo ID, USI, notepad, pen and comfortable clothing suitable for practical activities.

Assessment

Assessment includes written knowledge questions and practical activities completed during the session.

Course Outcome

Nationally recognised Statement of Attainment.

On successful completion you receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for the First Aid unit you complete — HLTAID011 Provide First Aid, HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), or HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting. Renewal timeframes can depend on the unit, workplace policy and any applicable industry requirements.
